What Would You Do If We Ran Out of Gas Tomorrow?
If you were suddenly told that the United States didn’t have any gasoline left, what would you do? Would you figure out a way to get around without the use of a car? Would you park your car and leave it in the driveway in an effort to save gas? What if you were planning on moving to a new house? Would you contact an auto transport company ? Would there even be one left?
For some people, these questions may seem extremely far fetched, but with the increasing price of gas over the last year now, others are thinking twice about questions like this one. Oil is not an endless resource. In fact, the very reason that prices have gone up are because there is supposedly too much demand and not enough supply. This is perhaps one reason why so many are looking into purchasing hybrid vehicles. But then again, who’s to say that another alternative fuel source won’t bring up the same problems as with oil?
While there are many options out there for alternative fuel sources, it seems that the gas crisis caught America at a bad time. We’ve been too spoiled now when it comes to driving around in SUVs as well as cars that are larger than most others you see in different parts of the world. For example, a European sedan is probably not as big as an American sedan.
So, again, I pose the question, “What would you do if you were told that we ran out of gas tomorrow?” It might just make a difference in how you drive today.

We see big companies creating SUVs with dreadful fuel economy. We see big countries invading small countries with the false pretext of terrorism.
I guess the main point is that despite the global crisis, people still love the fossil combustibles, very few are willing to change and we carry on living happily with nothing to worry about.
