And you thought we had it bad over here in the United States! According to a recent article published in BBC News, hundreds of motorcyclists were seen protesting against high fuel prices just outside of Manchester. The number of motorcycles on the roadways actually ended up backing traffic up significantly for a while.

According to reports, there were approximately 500 bikers on the roadway. The group even stopped for ten minutes in the middle of the roadways, which probably didn’t help matters when it came to traffic. The protest was apparently led by two motorcyclists, aptly named Maverick and Triumph Man, who were upset at the fuel prices. Perhaps they should look into different motorcycle transportation services. Regarding the protest, Maverick ended up telling BBC:

This is just to show the government that there’s one voice here, that we all want the same thing- a reduction, if not a complete cut in the VAT on fuel.

Over in Europe, the price of fuel is far more than it is here in America, averaging around $8-9 per gallon. So, do you think that there will be any mass protests about gas over here in the United States? Right now, it seems like Americans are disgruntled with the price of gas and even whining about it at best. But as far as I can see, the bottom line is that even though the gas prices may be rising and fueling anger among many, people still need to get to work.
